South Ayrshire – Refugee Resettlement

South Ayrshire Council has agreed to participate in the UK Government’s refugee resettlement scheme.  It has supported 16 Afghan families to move to the area and is committed to working to assist people from Syrian identified by through the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme.  The local authority expect around 42 people from Syria to come to South Ayrshire in the five years up to 2020.

There is currently no City of Sanctuary group in South Ayrshire.  If you would be interested in forming a group please let us know to see if we can help.
