As part of North Ayrshire Council’s strategic plan, issues relating to the resettlement of Syrian refugees is included under their ‘communities’ theme, with implementation being taken forward by the Housing Service. North Ayrshire Council anticipate hosting between 50 and 100 Syrians over the lifetime of the UK Government’s Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme which runs from 2015-2020.
