Milngavie Refugee Action Group
Milngavie Refugee Action Group started life as a group of people from different churches who were seeking to respond in some way to refugee issues – but are not only for faith groups! They are open to anyone in the community.
They are engaged in a range of activities, including:
- raising money for Positive Action in Housing for work in Lesbos
- supporting a local activist who has been going regularly to Calais
- raising awareness of the need for volunteers in the Maryhill Integration Network
- sharing news about West Dunbartonshire which has been receiving families from Syria
The group meets on the second Tuesday of the month in St Andrew’s Church Hall in Stewart Street, Milngavie. If you would like to find out more please email Liz Macdonald – firstname.lastname@example.org
If you would like to know about how East Dunbartonshire is being involved with the resettlement of Syrians, please contact the Council.
