The Outer Hebrides Welcome Refugees

The Outer Hebrides Welcome Refugees is a project of the Outer Hebrides Community Planning Partnership and supported by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar. They are seeking offers from local residents of time, skills, goods or other practical help to refugees arriving in the Outer Hebrides, to assist with, for example:

  • befriending
  • teaching English
  • translating
  • showing people around

They are inviting expressions of interest to be registered via an online form on their webpage.

There is currently no City of Sanctuary group in na h-Eileanan Siar / the Western Isles.  If you would be interested in forming a group please let us know to see if we can help.
