Clackmannanshire Council have published a Frequently Asked Questions about Syrian refugee resettlement on their website. As a small local authority with only around 1% of the population of Scotland, they expect they will only receive around 20 Syrian refugees up to 2020 as part of the UK Government’s Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme.

There is a group of Citizens for Sanctuary in Stirling and Clackmannanshire. They are a registered charity and are seeking to work with Stirling Council and Clackmannanshire Council to maximise the quality of welcome which the refugees will receive when they come to live there, and to try to ensure that community organisations are given every opportunity to work with statutory organisations to enable refugees to integrate and achieve their full potential.
